Moisture resistant MDF for this project, so no joinery other than butt joints, glue and screws.
The interesting bits for me were getting a fabricator to cut the pieces exactly to size on their industrial CNC machine (I design my furniture in 3D in SketchUp, so super easy), finding hinges that would work on a door angled at 45 degrees, and sourcing some chunky laminate bamboo for the unit top.
Finished in satin white paint for the unit and tung oil for the unit top.
